1. Information Collection
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customised experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customise our Service to make your experience safer and easier. We only collect personal information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose.
In general, you can browse the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. Once you provide your personal information to us, you are no longer anonymous.
To gain full access to our Site and Services, you must participate in a NetNeutrals EU dispute resolution process. When you participate in our Service, we collect personal information when you voluntarily provide it to us, which may include the following:
     1. Your name, company name, location, email address, phone number, and any transaction data, which allows you to participate.
     2. Your IP addresses, devices, and locations used to access our Site and Services, which will be linked to your account for fraud detection/prevention purposes
We may retrieve additional personal information about you from third parties and other identification/verification services such as eBay. In addition, with your consent, we may collect additional personal information in other ways including emails, surveys, and other forms of communication. Once you begin using the process, we will keep records of your posting(s) and collect information of your other activities related to our Services. You always have the option to not provide information by choosing not to use a particular service or feature.
We automatically track certain information based upon your use of the Site. We use this information to do internal research to better understand, protect and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on the Site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on the Site or not), your computer browser information, and your IP address.
We have only ONE device used for data collection (which collectively are known as “cookies”). It is known as the ASP Session cookie, which holds the ID for the session, and used by nearly every .NET site.
These cookies are exempt from Europe’s data protection programme, as explained in this European authorities’ opinion:
“In June 2012, European data protection authorities (as part of the Article 29 Working Party) adopted an opinion which clarifies that some cookie uses might be exempt from the requirement to gain consent:
  • Some cookies can be exempted from informed consent under certain conditions if they are not used for additional purposes. These cookies include cookies used to keep track of a user’s input when filling online forms or as a shopping cart, also known as session-id cookies, multimedia player session cookies and user interface customisation cookies, eg language preference cookies to remember the language selected by the user.
  • First party analytics cookies are not likely to create a privacy risk if websites provide clear information about the cookies to users and privacy safeguards, eg a user friendly mechanism to opt out from any data collection and where they ensure that identifiable information is anonymised.”
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities on the Site, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.

2. Communications from the Site
We communicate with users on a regular basis via email to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their case we reply via email or phone.
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, when the Service is not available due to circumstances beyond our control, such as flooding or other acts of nature, we may send an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature.
We may occasionally email you with information about offers or new services. You can opt out of these email communications via an unsubscribe link included in such communications. However, you will continue to receive certain email communications related to your account including information regarding transactions and your relationship with NetNeutrals EU.

3. Sharing Information
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Site or Services.
We may share aggregated demographic information with our partners. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
We may provide your information to, or request information about you from, third party service providers to assist in providing Services to you and for fraud detection, identity verification, or other similar purposes.
In the event NetNeutrals EU goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.

4. Choice/Opt-out
Users who no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us or our partners may opt-out of receiving these communications by clicking on the unsubscribe link included in such communications.

5. Links On The Site
This Site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we, NetNeutrals EU, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Web site.

6. Security
Our Site and Services take every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the Site, their information is protected both online and off-line.
We use SSL encryption on our application and signup forms. While on a secure page, such as our registration page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when users are just ‘surfing’.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices and data centres. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Finally, the servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment.  You may find additional information on how we secure your data on our Security page.

7. Correcting/Updating/Deactivating Personal Information
If a User’s personally identifiable information changes (such as User name, phone, email or postal address), or if a User no longer desires our Services, we provide a way to correct, update or deactivate users’ personally identifiable information. This can usually be done by emailing our Customer Support or contact us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below.

8. Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our Users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If, however, we are going to use Users’ personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users by posting a notice on our Site for 30 days.

9. Right of Access
Under Section 4 of the Data Protection Act, individuals have a right to be given a copy of their personal data.  A Subject Access Request should be sent in writing to the postal address or email address provided below (Contact Information).  NetNeutrals EU will provide the requested information within 40 days from receipt of the request.  In order to fulfill the person's request, please provide adequate information so that we may locate your records; i.e. full name, email address, case number, and contact data.

10. Retention
NetNeutrals EU will not retain your information any longer than required for filing and reporting purposes as required by governmental agencies.  Once the reports have been accepted, all personal and case file information is deleted.
